Axolotes Mexicanos

Asturian indie pop and pop punk band built around siblings Olaya Pedrayes, on vocals and keyboards, and Juan Pedrayes, on drums. In 2013 the band debuted with the EP Infectados on Elefant Records, the label it has been with throughout its career. It mixes punk guitars and electropop with nods to J-pop and anime, and ironic lyrics about youth and digital culture. It has released the albums Holi (2015), Salu2 (2018), :3 (2021) and 4ever (2024), on which it brought in bossa nova and lo-fi sounds.

Axolotes Mexicanos appears in the line-ups of 4 festivals in ModoFestival's calendar. Next date: Es Gremi Sounds (Palma), 13–14 Nov 2026.
