About the festival

Purple Weekend celebrates its 37th edition from Friday 4 to Monday 7 December 2026 in León, with the concerts at Espacio Vías. The line-up has already been split by day, with Sidonie, Los Negativos and La Perra Blanco headlining each day, and tickets are on sale: a €110 festival pass or day tickets from €30 plus fees.

León's mod festival, which the organisers are presenting this year under the slogan 37 years of Modern World, keeps the formula it has followed for almost four decades: garage, beat, soul, rhythm and blues and rock'n'roll concerts, DJ sets, vinyl collectors, specialist markets and the traditional Scooter Run through the city.

Four days in León and concerts at Espacio Vías

The dates coincide with the December bank holiday weekend. The music programme announced so far is concentrated over three days, from Friday 4 to Sunday 6, at Espacio Vías (avenida del Padre Isla, 48). Monday 7 rounds off the festival's four days, although no concerts have been announced for it yet.

Friday and Saturday nights carry on with the Allnighter, the DJ session that follows the concerts. On Sunday the timing changes with the Alldayer, a daytime session.

Purple Weekend 2026 line-up by day

  • Friday 4 December: Sidonie, Neal Sugarman Organ Combo, ELLiS·D and Allnighter.
  • Saturday 5 December: Los Negativos, The Loved Ones, Little Barrie, The Len Price 3, Brighton 64 (Glam Theatre) and Allnighter.
  • Sunday 6 December: La Perra Blanco, a band yet to be announced, Los Giros (Glam Theatre) and Alldayer.

Friday has the name with the broadest reach beyond the mod circuit: Sidonie return to the festival 26 years after their debut in León. Alongside them is saxophonist Neal Sugarman, co-founder of the Daptone label and member of The Dap-Kings, the band that recorded six songs on Back to Black with Amy Winehouse. He arrives with a quartet of saxophone, guitar, drums and Hammond organ, closer to soul-jazz and funk than to rock. British artist ELLiS·D completes the night.

Saturday is the longest day and the one that best sums up the festival. Los Negativos celebrate 40 years of Piknik caleidoscópico, their first album and a landmark of 1980s Spanish psychedelia, at the only date of that anniversary in Spain. They share the bill with three bands that approach the sound of the sixties from different angles: The Loved Ones, a rhythm and blues group formed in Oakland in 1990 who return to Purple after their 2014 concert and with a new album, Latest Hits!; Little Barrie, a British trio presenting Gravity Freeze, their sixth album; and The Len Price 3, a Kent band linked to the Medway Sound who signed to Little Steven's label.

Sunday, a shorter day, is headlined by La Perra Blanco, the rock'n'roll group led by guitarist and singer Alba Blanco, with albums such as Bop & Shake and Get It Out. The organisers still have one name to confirm for that day.

The Glam Theatre is paid separately: Brighton 64 and Los Giros

Two concerts on the line-up are not included in the festival pass or the day tickets: those at the Glam Theatre. On Saturday, Brighton 64 play there, a leading name on the Spanish mod scene since the early eighties, returning to Purple 26 years later as part of their farewell tour and with a final album, Se traspasa. On Sunday it is the turn of Los Giros, a garage and rhythm and blues band from Alicante presenting Reina del Kathmandu.

If Brighton 64's farewell is your reason for going, the festival pass is not enough: you will need a separate ticket. The festival's ticket pages do not yet list the price or where to buy tickets for these two concerts.

Tickets: €110 festival pass or single days from €33

The festival sells its tickets through two ticketing platforms, linked from its official links page: ctickets, with the festival pass and day tickets, and Ticketmaster, which lists a single event for all four days. ModoFestival may receive a commission if you buy through this link, at no extra cost to you.

The first passes, the early bird ones, have already sold out. These are the prices published on ctickets as of 14 October 2026:

  • Festival pass (4 to 7 December): €105 plus €5 in fees, €110 in total.
  • Friday 4: €45 plus €4.50 in fees.
  • Saturday 5: €45 plus €4.50 in fees.
  • Sunday 6: €30 plus €3 in fees.

Day tickets work out cheaper for one or two days: Friday and Saturday together come to €99 including fees. For all three days, the festival pass saves €22 compared with the €132 of buying them separately.

Stage times, minors and digital tickets

Stage times for each concert have not yet been published. Ticketmaster states doors open at 17:00 and warns that tickets are digital only: they can be saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, but will not appear in your account until seven days before the festival.

The conditions for minors differ between the two ticketing platforms. Ctickets states that under-16s must be accompanied by an adult, while Ticketmaster extends that requirement to under-18s, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If you are going with minors, check the exact condition with the organisers before buying.

At ModoFestival we have followed this edition: the line-up by day and the sale of single-day tickets, the dates and the first festival passes and the addition of La Perra Blanco and Los Negativos.
