Bomba Estéreo

Colombian band founded in Bogotá in 2005 by bassist and producer Simón Mejía, with singer and rapper Li Saumet, from Santa Marta, on vocals. Their music blends electronica, rap and reggae with rhythms from Colombia's Caribbean coast such as cumbia and champeta, a mix described as electro tropical or psychedelic cumbia. Their second album, Estalla (2008), released in the United States as Blow Up, included «Fuego», the song that made them known outside Colombia, and in 2010 MTV Iggy's audience voted them the best new band in the world.
