Carlos Sadness

Carlos Alberto Sánchez Uriol, better known as Carlos Sadness, is a singer, songwriter and illustrator from Barcelona, born in 1984. He started out by posting songs on Myspace and, after signing with Sony Music, made his debut in 2011 with the EP Atraes a los relámpagos. His indie pop with rapped passages took shape on Ciencias celestes (2012) and La idea salvaje (2015), a concept album about a journey through space. Diferentes tipos de luz (2018) reached number 2 in the Spanish sales chart, and its artwork won a Latin Grammy. On Tropical Jesus (2020) he brought in urban and tropical influences, with Bomba Estéreo among the guests.
