Duncan Dhu

Duncan Dhu were a pop rock band from San Sebastián formed in 1984 by Mikel Erentxun, Diego Vasallo and Juan Ramón Viles, with an early acoustic sound and touches of rockabilly that contrasted with the radical rock scene in San Sebastián at the time. Canciones (1986) included «Cien gaviotas», and El grito del tiempo (1987) sold 400,000 copies. From 1989 they continued as a duo of Erentxun and Vasallo, who split for good in 2016 after a comeback that began in 2013 with El duelo. In 2025 Erentxun revisited the band's repertoire, without Vasallo, on a tour marking its 40th anniversary.

Duncan Dhu appears in the line-ups of 3 festivals in ModoFestival's calendar.
