Chimo Bayo

Joaquín Bayo, known as Chimo Bayo, is a DJ, producer and singer from Valencia, born in 1961. He started DJing in 1980 at the Number One nightclub in Valencia and became one of the faces of the Ruta del Bakalao, playing long acid, house and techno sets that he livened up by singing from the DJ booth. 'Así me gusta a mí' (1991), with its chorus 'Exta sí, exta no', reached number one in the sales charts in Japan and Israel, and in 1992 he performed at the Tokyo Dome. He went on to release tracks such as 'Química' and 'Bombas', and in 2023 he made his acting debut in Quan no acaba la nit.
