Eskorzo
Eskorzo is a rock fusion band from Granada formed in 1995, following in the footsteps of Mano Negra's mestizo sound and gypsy punk. The band made its debut in 1998 with Mundo Bullanga, released by Chrysalis and featuring Albert Pla as a guest, and on La Sopa Boba (2001) it added swing, rocksteady, jazz and Balkan music to the mix. In 2003 it set up its own label, Acostao Records. Camino de fuego (2015) was launched with «Suave», a cumbia that brought together Mexican artist Celso Piña and Coque Malla, and in 2021 the band celebrated its 25th anniversary with the A Fuego Suave tour, which reworked its repertoire in other styles.
Eskorzo appears in the line-ups of 3 festivals in ModoFestival's calendar.
