Ojete Calor

Spanish technopop duo formed in 2005 by actors and comedians Carlos Areces and Aníbal Gómez. Their first album, ‘Delayed’ (2013), sounded closer to rock, and with ‘Pataky’ (2017) they settled into electro and synth pop. Over simple electronic beats they write sarcastic, absurdist lyrics with a camp aesthetic, in a style they themselves dubbed ‘subnopop’. ‘Cuidado con el cyborg (Corre, Sarah Connor)’ and ‘Viejoven’ are among their best-known songs.
