The Molotovs

The Molotovs are a British band from London formed in 2020 by siblings Mathew Cartlidge (vocals and guitar) and Issey Cartlidge (bass and vocals), who played their first gigs on streets and in parks while venues were still closed due to the pandemic. Their music draws on punk rock, the mod revival and indie rock. Before releasing a record they had already opened for The Libertines, Blondie, Iggy Pop and The Damned, and in March 2025 they supported Sex Pistols at the Royal Albert Hall. Their debut album, Wasted on Youth (2026), entered the UK chart at number 3.

The Molotovs appears in the line-ups of 3 festivals in ModoFestival's calendar.
