About the festival
1001 Músicas CaixaBank 2026 returns to Granada as a long-running urban series rather than a single-site festival. The official programme already runs from 15 July to 14 October, with a combination of concerts spread across some of the city's most iconic venues, one of the keys that best explains the project's identity since its earliest editions.
The calendar already features names such as Sting, Johnny Marr, Ryan Adams, Zenet, Revólver, Ariel Rot, Las Migas, Maika Makovski, Valeria Castro, Víctor Manuel, Teenage Fanclub and Loquillo. The mix reinforces a very recognisable idea: international artists, historic figures of Spanish music and more carefully crafted listening experiences in venues where the setting matters almost as much as the repertoire.
Granada as an essential part of the experience
One of the series' great strengths lies in its venues. The Teatro del Generalife, the Palacio de los Córdova, the Carmen de los Mártires, the Cámara Real de Santo Domingo, the Plaza de Toros, the Palacio de Congresos, the Palacio de Deportes and the Teatro CajaGranada are not mere containers: they completely change the experience of each concert.

The additions of Johnny Marr and Ryan Adams extend the calendar further into autumn and give the series extra international weight. With that block now confirmed, 1001 Músicas Granada 2026 stands out as one of the strongest urban offerings of the year in the south, able to turn several months of programming into a musical route through the city itself.
