About the festival

Aloha Festival was a two-day urban and pop music festival in Cuenca, with a swimming pool, camping and a hotel on the same site. Its final edition took place on 12 and 13 June 2026 and was billed as its farewell: the festival announced its permanent closure, so there will be no edition in 2027.

A pool festival at the Cueva del Fraile

Aloha's trademark was its venue, the Cueva del Fraile complex on the outskirts of Cuenca. The festival made use of its facilities to combine concerts with pool parties, a camping area and passes that included a hotel room, a format closer to a weekend getaway than to a mega-festival.

Over its various editions, its stage hosted urban artists such as Saiko, Recycled J and Israel B, alongside pop and 2000s nostalgia names such as José de Rico, Selecta and Pignoise. The line-up thus brought together the reggaeton and trap of the moment with the pop that was on the radio in the mid-2000s.

After its first editions, Aloha took a two-year break and returned in 2025, on 6 and 7 June, once again at the Cueva del Fraile.

The final edition: June 2026

The 2026 edition kept the two-day format with live shows and DJ sets by the pool. Its line-up featured, among others, Fran Perea, Raúl Clyde, Mar Lucas and Lírico en la Casa, according to the announcement reported by Voces de Cuenca and Territorio Celtibérico.

It was also its farewell. Territorio Celtibérico reported on 8 June 2026, four days before the first day, that Aloha Festival was closing for good. The organisers have not publicly explained the reasons.

What we know about Aloha Festival today

With the closure, there is no edition planned for 2027 and no tickets on sale. In the same city, Festival Indispensables held its 2026 edition at the end of August, and our selection of festivals in Castilla-La Mancha covers the rest of the events in the region.
