About the festival
Bee Week Festival 2026 took place from 13 February to 24 April in Madrid, with a clearly defined offering built around indie, alternative pop and club-venue culture. It was not an event designed to compete on size, but to bring together a specific audience around a recognisable musical identity.
The edition is now behind us, but it remains a useful reference for understanding how mid-sized festivals and concert series work: events that do not always rely on big headliners, but on a clear community, a city setting and an experience that is easy to remember.
What the edition left behind
The main draw was Zahara, The Harlem Gospel Travelers and a range of concerts spread across music venues. That combination explains the tone of the event: less dispersion and more focus on a particular way of experiencing live music.
In an increasingly crowded calendar, events of this kind play an important role. They make room for audiences who are not necessarily looking for a mega-festival, but for a night or several days with their own personality, a good atmosphere and a recognisable line-up.
Madrid as the setting
The relationship with the city was part of the event's value. At festivals of this scale, the surroundings matter as much as the line-up: access, bars, accommodation, schedules and the sense that the music does not happen in isolation, but within a specific urban life.
The edition left a clear picture of its place in the calendar. If the project returns with new dates, it will make sense to judge it by its continuity, its community and its ability to sustain a musical offering with a character of its own.
