Background: the 2026 edition
Imagina Funk 2026 took place on 31 July and 1 August 2026 in Pozo Alcón, Jaén. The festival retains its identity as one of the most recognisable events for funk, soul, jazz and African American sounds on the Spanish calendar.
The line-up announced by the organisers brought together Philip Lassiter, MADZ, Funky Times, Hip Horns Brass Collective, The Cherry Boppers & Patricia Reckless, Akiba Afrobeat, Le Couple Sound, Telephunken and Juanma Quesada.
The programme combined international names, contemporary brass band, afrobeat, soul-funk and DJ sets designed to keep the festival's energy going beyond the main concerts. The presence of Philip Lassiter, a former collaborator of Prince and The New Power Generation, strengthened the international profile of this edition.
Before travelling, it is worth checking the official Imagina Funk website to confirm final timings, current ticket sales, entrances and any parallel activities for the edition.
The line-up, timings and conditions mentioned in this section refer exclusively to 2026.
