About the festival
Zaidín Rock 2026 will hold its 44th edition on 3, 4 and 5 September in Granada. Entry to the concerts will be free until capacity is reached, and they will take place at the site between the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes and the Palacio Municipal de Deportes.
The festival is part of the local fiestas of the Zaidín-Vergeles neighbourhood and keeps its long-standing identity: established names in Spanish rock share the bill with bands from Granada and emerging acts. Mägo de Oz, Seguridad Social and Boikot headline the three nights in 2026.
Programme for Thursday 3 September
The first day will be headlined by Seguridad Social and Poncho K, joined by Dark Libra and other acts linked to the local scene. Seguridad Social bring a repertoire built over more than four decades, while Poncho K represents the singer-songwriter side of rock, with urban lyrics.
Thursday serves as the opening of the edition and offers a chance to get to know how the site works before the days that are expected to be busier. As entry is free, arriving early is the only way to reduce the risk of finding it full during the main performances.
Mägo de Oz headline Friday 4
Friday's big draw will be Mägo de Oz, joined by Rebrote, Sonido Vegetal, The Tragic Company and Noray. The night spans folk metal, urban rock, fusion and Granada-based acts at different stages of their careers.
Mägo de Oz will arrive with a show designed for large venues and songs that are part of the popular canon of Spanish-language rock. Rebrote keep the musical legacy of Extremoduro alive with their own interpretation, while Sonido Vegetal add a mix of rock, ska and popular rhythms.
Boikot close Saturday 5
The final day will be headlined by Boikot alongside Awakate, Sarajevo '84 and La Hija Única. The closing night leans towards punk, alternative rock and combative sounds, with a combination of veteran bands and newer acts.
Boikot take the peak slot with a repertoire rooted in Spanish punk rock. Sarajevo '84 bring alternative rock guitars and melodies, while the local acts allow the festival to keep its role as a showcase for homegrown music.
Free entry and access to the site
There are no passes or paid tickets: access will be free until capacity is reached. This means entry is not guaranteed if the site fills up. Anyone wanting to see the headliners should arrive earlier and make the most of the earlier performances.
The site is located between the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes and the Palacio de Deportes, an area served by city public transport. With thousands of people leaving at the end, traffic can build up, so it is advisable to use public transport and follow the signposted routes.
More than four decades of rock from the neighbourhood
Zaidín Rock was born out of the residents' movement and is still organised by the Asociación de Vecinos Zaidín-Vergeles, with various public and private partners. Its longevity is down to the decision to keep the concerts open to all and to reserve space for bands from Granada.
The 2026 edition maintains that balance. The three headliners may attract different audiences, but the full programme offers the chance to discover acts that rarely appear on the major circuits. The festival is not a series of club gigs: every night shares the same site, forming a single, compact edition.
Running alongside the neighbourhood fiestas adds daytime activity and increases the bustle around the site. To enjoy the concerts without rushing, it is worth locating your public transport stop in advance, agreeing on a meeting point and remembering that there are no reserved places. Once capacity is reached, the organisers may temporarily close access.
