Estrella Morente

Estrella Morente is a flamenco singer born in Granada in 1980, the daughter of Enrique Morente, on whose album Omega (1996) she performed as a teenager. Her first album, Mi cante y un poema (2001), produced by her father, went platinum and earned her a Premio Ondas in the flamenco creation category. With Mujeres (2006), a tribute to thirteen women of the 20th century, she won the Premio de la Música for best flamenco album, and that same year she sang the tango ‘Volver’ in the Pedro Almodóvar film of the same name. She received the Medalla de Andalucía in 2014.
