About the festival

Iberoexperia Sessions Madrid 2026 visits several venues in the capital between April and November with five concerts that connect the music of Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and Spain. Following the performances by La Muchacha, Liniker and Los Amigos Invisibles, the series now enters its final stretch with La Yegros on 18 September and Estrella Morente on 12 November.

This is not a festival concentrated into a single weekend, but a programme spread throughout the year. Each concert has its own ticket, venue and entry conditions, so it is worth checking the specific date before planning your trip.

What is Iberoexperia Sessions Madrid

IBEROEXPERIA acts as a meeting point for contemporary Ibero-American music. Its programme brings together scenes and styles that do not always share a line-up: roots song, Brazilian soul, Latin funk and disco, electronic cumbia and flamenco. This variety means you can approach the series through a particular artist or follow the whole run to discover how the music from both sides of the Atlantic interacts.

The 2026 Madrid edition is spread across Sala Villanos, Teatro Eslava, La Riviera and Teatro Capitol Gran Vía. The club format keeps the concerts close to the audience and gives each artist a night of their own, rather than reducing their performance to a short slot within a mass-scale programme.

Full IBEROEXPERIA Madrid 2026 programme

  • 25 April, 20:30: La Muchacha at Sala Villanos, historically also known as Sala Caracol. This concert has already taken place.
  • 30 May, 20:30: Liniker at Teatro Eslava. The Brazilian artist presented her world of soul, samba, pagode, jazz and pop centred on CAJU. This concert has already taken place.
  • 18 June, 20:30: Los Amigos Invisibles at La Riviera. The Venezuelan band brought their mix of funk, disco, acid jazz and Latin rhythms to Madrid. This concert has already taken place.
  • 18 September, 20:30: La Yegros at Sala Villanos, with Flaca DJ on the pre-show and closing the night.
  • 12 November, 20:30: Estrella Morente at Teatro Capitol Gran Vía.

The first three dates are kept as historical context for this same edition. If you want to attend now, the two dates to bear in mind are those of La Yegros and Estrella Morente.

La Yegros will bring new cumbia to Sala Villanos

The series' next stop will be on Friday 18 September at 20:30 at Sala Villanos. La Yegros, the stage name of Mariana Yegros, has built her own identity by mixing cumbia and Argentinian folk with electronic production, reggae, funk and urban sounds. Her live show draws on the danceable energy that made her one of the most recognisable voices of so-called new cumbia.

The Madrid date centres on HAZ, a record that expands her idea of “folklore 2.0” with chamamé, carnavalito, funk guitars and electronic textures. The night will also feature Flaca DJ before and after the concert, so the evening does not end with La Yegros's last song but carries on as a dance session.

Estrella Morente will close the series in November

Iberoexperia Sessions Madrid will close on Thursday 12 November at 20:30 at Teatro Capitol Gran Vía. Estrella Morente represents the programme's link with Spanish flamenco and with a style of performance that can move between traditional cante, poetry and more open arrangements without losing its roots.

Her appearance completes a deliberately broad journey: from the intimate language of La Muchacha to Liniker's soul, the festive pulse of Los Amigos Invisibles and the electronic cumbia of La Yegros. It is also the date that officially closes the 2026 Madrid edition.

Venues and how to get to the upcoming concerts

Sala Villanos is at calle Bernardino Obregón, 18, in the Embajadores area. The ticketing platform itself lists Embajadores as the reference Metro and Cercanías station. As this is a venue with limited capacity and a date announced amid high demand, it is advisable to check your ticket before setting off and to arrive in good time for entry.

Teatro Capitol Gran Vía is in the centre of Madrid, right on Gran Vía. For this date the ticket is separate from the La Yegros one, and the choice may depend on the area or seat available. The ticketing platform will show the final price and any applicable fees before you confirm your purchase.

Tickets and practical information

Iberoexperia Sessions does not use a single pass for the whole Madrid calendar. Tickets are sold by artist and venue, and having attended an earlier date does not give automatic access to the following ones. Before buying, it is worth checking the artist's name, city, day and venue shown on the final screen.

The information on this page refers to the 2026 edition and will be updated if the organisers announce changes to times, venues or entry conditions. For issues with a purchase already made, contact the ticketing platform or the promoter; ModoFestival acts solely as an information outlet.

Official sources and updates

Dates, times and venues have been checked against the IBEROEXPERIA website, Madrid's official events listings, the sales pages for each concert and the Sala Villanos programme. As the series runs over several months, it is advisable to check the information for your specific ticket again close to the date.
