Guitar BCN 2026 once again took over Barcelona as a concert series running from January to May. It is not a single-venue festival or a closed weekend event: its strength lies in spreading across theatres, auditoriums and venues, creating a long programme where singer-songwriter music, pop, flamenco, jazz, auteur rock and large-scale shows sit side by side.

The 2026 edition is now behind us, but it leaves a very broad snapshot of the series: Ludovico Einaudi, Amaral, Els Amics de les Arts, Hijos de la Ruina, La Plazuela, Ana Torroja, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Estrella Morente, Maria del Mar Bonet, Valeria Castro, Marlena, María Peláe, Bebe, Clara Peya and Andrea Motis, among other names.

A series that works like a city

Guitar BCN has something many festivals strive for and few achieve: being part of a city's cultural calendar without depending on a single date. Its programme is spread out, it breathes, and it allows very different audiences to come together under the same umbrella.

The 2026 edition once again demonstrated that flexibility. It could turn to the instrumental emotion of Ludovico Einaudi, the popular power of Amaral, the flamenco of Estrella Morente or the personality of Sílvia Pérez Cruz without losing coherence.
