About the festival

Iberoexperia Sessions Barcelona 2026 brings together five concerts between April and October, exploring different scenes from Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and Spain. Following the performances by La Muchacha, Liniker and Los Amigos Invisibles, the series still has two dates to come: La Yegros on 17 September and Estrella Morente on 29 October.

The programme does not work like a festival concentrated over one or several days. Each artist headlines a separate session, with its own venue, ticket and entry conditions. The 2026 dates are spread across Sala Apolo, La (2) de Apolo and Paral·lel 62.

What is Iberoexperia Sessions Barcelona

IBEROEXPERIA sets up a dialogue between contemporary music from Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Its line-up combines roots songwriting, Brazilian soul, Latin funk and disco, electronic cumbia and flamenco. The series format gives each project a night of its own and a full club concert, rather than sharing a mass event with dozens of artists.

The Barcelona edition also has a particularly significant female presence: four of its five concerts are headlined by women. The programme works both for attending a single date and for following a broad overview of Ibero-American sounds over several months.

IBEROEXPERIA Barcelona 2026 programme

  • 23 April, 20:30: La Muchacha at La (2) de Apolo, with doors opening at 19:30 and a DJ set afterwards by DJ Tiraya. Concert already held.
  • 29 May, 20:30: Liniker at Sala Apolo. Concert already held.
  • 19 June, 20:30: Los Amigos Invisibles at Paral·lel 62. Concert already held.
  • 17 September, 20:30: La Yegros at La (2) de Apolo.
  • 29 October, 20:30: Estrella Morente at Paral·lel 62.

The first three dates are kept here as context for the same edition. If you are planning a visit from now on, the relevant sessions are those in September and October.

La Yegros will once again turn cumbia into club music

The next date will be on Thursday 17 September at 20:30 at La (2) de Apolo. La Yegros has built a recognisable identity based on cumbia and Argentine folk music, incorporating electronic production, reggae, funk and urban sounds. Her live show is designed for dancing, but keeps a clear connection with traditional rhythms such as chamamé and carnavalito.

Her Barcelona show is part of the final stretch of IBEROEXPERIA 2026 and revives the series' spirit of discovery: a project with Latin American roots that uses contemporary tools without turning folk music into a museum piece.

Estrella Morente will close the edition in October

IBEROEXPERIA Barcelona will end on Thursday 29 October at 20:30 at Paral·lel 62 with Estrella Morente. The flamenco singer from Granada brings to the programme a link with flamenco and a style of performance able to move between the traditional repertoire, poetry and arrangements open to other musical languages.

Her concert closes a journey that began with the socially committed songwriting of La Muchacha, continued with the soul and Brazilian music of Liniker, passed through the Latin funk of Los Amigos Invisibles and will reach the electronic cumbia of La Yegros in September.

Concert venues and location

Sala Apolo and La (2) de Apolo are part of the same complex, located at number 113 on Nou de la Rambla street, next to Avinguda del Paral·lel. Although they share a location, they are separate spaces and your ticket indicates which one each session takes place in. Paral·lel metro station is the nearest reference point.

Paral·lel 62 is located at Avinguda del Paral·lel, 62. It hosts the Los Amigos Invisibles and Estrella Morente dates. In all cases, it is a good idea to check the venue name and city on your ticket before setting off, especially as IBEROEXPERIA also runs a parallel programme in Madrid.

Tickets and practical information

There is no joint pass giving access to the whole of Iberoexperia Sessions Barcelona. Tickets are sold per concert, and prices, booking fees, door times and rules for minors may vary between sessions. The availability shown on this page should be confirmed on the ticketing page before completing your purchase.

To arrive in good time, it is advisable to check the door opening time for each venue and have your ticket ready on your phone. Any change announced by the organisers or the venue takes precedence over editorial information. ModoFestival is a news outlet and does not handle entry, exchanges or refunds.

Official sources and updates

The programme and venues have been checked against the IBEROEXPERIA website, the official listings of Sala Apolo and the concerts' ticketing pages. As this is a series spanning six months, it is advisable to check the specific session again closer to its date.
