In short

  1. Official mourning lasts until 24:00 on Saturday 31 October, and suspensions are not automatic: each city council, institution or organiser decides what goes ahead.
  2. Elche and Valdepeñas suspend the Blanca Paloma and Orquesta Panorama concerts on Friday 30, and the final of the Premio SGAE Urban Gata Cattana in Granada is postponed with no new date.
  3. Ticket sales are also being moved: the Lunátikko 90s 2027 sale moves to Wednesday 4 November at 20:00.
  4. If you have a ticket for another event, the organiser's official channel is your point of reference, as they are the ones who announce changes and refunds.

Updated at 9:00 on Thursday 29 October 2026.

The rail accident in Urda (Toledo) on Wednesday 28 October has led the Government to declare three days of official mourning, and with it a steady trickle of suspensions has begun across the cultural calendar. Not everything is being cancelled: what changes depends on who is organising each event. This list only includes suspensions and postponements of concerts and shows that have been announced by the organisers themselves or reported by at least two media outlets, and it will be updated.

What official mourning means and how long it lasts

The royal decree published in the BOE sets the mourning period from 00:00 on Thursday 29 until 24:00 on Saturday 31 October. During those days the flag flies at half-mast on public buildings and on Navy ships, according to La Moncloa. The decree does not list which events must be suspended: it is city councils, institutions and organisers who are each deciding, independently, what to postpone and what to keep. Andalusia and Extremadura have also declared their own regional mourning.

Concerts and shows suspended or postponed

  • Elche: Festival Medieval and municipal Halloween. The Festival Medieval d'Elx is suspending four performances: El Rey se muere (Thursday 29, Gran Teatro), the Trenza Mía concert by Blanca Paloma (Friday 30, 21:00, Gran Teatro), Rucs. El maleficio del brujo (school performances and the public performance on Saturday 31 at Sala Tramoia) and El Rey de la Farándula (Saturday 31, Gran Teatro). The programme resumes on Sunday 1 November. The Misteri d'Elx goes ahead, without music in the procession, bells or rockets on 30 and 31 October. The City Council has also suspended all the Halloween activities it organises, including those at Plaça de Baix and L'Escorxador, according to TeleElx and Alicante Plaza.
  • Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real): Orquesta Panorama. The concert on Friday 30 October, scheduled to mark the 50th anniversary of the Transition, has been suspended. According to Lanza and Surco CLM, the 8,000 invitations already handed out are no longer valid and a new date will be considered, which has not yet been set.
  • Granada: final of the first Premio SGAE Urban Gata Cattana. Fundación SGAE and La Madraza are postponing the final on Friday 30 October at the University of Granada because of the official mourning. The four finalists remain in the competition and the new date will be announced later. The details are in our news story on the postponement of the final.

Ticket sales changing date

Lunátikko 90s, the eurodance festival in Albacete, was due to open sales for its 2027 edition on Wednesday 28 at 20:00. That same day it postponed them to Wednesday 4 November at 20:00, according to its official website. The festival date does not change: Saturday 2 October 2027 at the Recinto Ferial, as we reported in our Lunátikko 90s 2027 news story.

What to do if you have a ticket for another event

Many of the events taking place these days are private and do not depend on any public authority, so they are keeping to their schedule unless the organiser says otherwise. At 9:00 this Thursday, the official websites of PintorRock (Reus), Blackworks (Leganés), elrow (Sagunt) and La Castanyada del Cabró Rock (Montmeló) showed no changes to dates or programme.

If you have a ticket for a concert or party over these days, the most reliable option is to follow the official website and social media of the organiser and of the ticketing platform where you bought it: they are the ones who announce whether something is postponed and how refunds or ticket exchanges are handled. The rest of this weekend's events are in our festival listings for this week.
