In short

  1. Els Pets, Lax'n'Busto, Els Catarres and The Tyets headline a 17-hour day, from 12:00 on Saturday 31 until 05:00, with the Aplec de Cultura Catalana at 20:40.
  2. Tickets cost €53, or €40 per person if bought in pairs; under-16s must be accompanied by an adult and bring a signed authorisation form.
  3. There are four free parking areas next to the Circuit, but there is no campsite: you can only sleep inside vans and motorhomes.
  4. Until 20:00 you can leave and re-enter for free; from that time on, anyone who leaves has to buy another ticket.

While the summer Cabró Rock prepares its June edition in Vic, its autumn version arrives this weekend. La Castanyada del Cabró Rock holds its second edition on Saturday 31 October at Espai Can Guitet in Montmeló, next to the Circuit de Catalunya, with a day running from midday to five in the morning devoted to Catalan-language music and the traditions of Tots Sants. Tickets are still available.

La Castanyada del Cabró Rock 2026 line-up

According to the festival's official website, the line-up brings together thirteen acts spanning four decades of Catalan-language pop and rock:

  • The veterans: Els Pets, Lax'n'Busto and Els Amics de les Arts.
  • The generation that took off over the last decade: Els Catarres, The Tyets, Figa Flawas, La Ludwig Band and Doctor Prats.
  • The more urban, party side: 31 FAM, Ven'nus, Anna Gisbert, Lo Pau de Ponts and DJ K-ZU.

The festival has not published a readable set-by-set timetable or the stage allocation. The one fixed time is the Aplec de Cultura Catalana, at 20:40, which La Xarxa+ and local television channels will broadcast live along with the performances by Lax'n'Busto and Els Catarres. Alongside the concerts, the organisers are putting on folk culture activities, a sweet area run by pastry chef Lluc Crusellas and a park with Catalan-themed rides.

It is worth not confusing it with the summer festival: the Cabró Rock in Vic will take place on 11 and 12 June 2027 and has its own tickets. The Montmeló event is a one-day gathering with its own sales.

Tickets: €53, or €40 if you buy two

Official sales are on the Cabró Rock website, which on the morning of Thursday 29 was offering these options:

  • Advance (phase 6): €53. Gives access to the festival and does not include a drink.
  • Duo promo: €40 per ticket, 20% less, with a minimum purchase of two.
  • Under-2s: free, but you must go through the purchase process to get the ticket and present the authorisation form.

Under-16s can enter with an adult who also has a ticket and with a signed authorisation form: form A is for when the accompanying adult is the father, mother or legal guardian, and form B is for any other responsible adult. Both are on the festival website. Anyone aged 18 who has been granted the Bono Cultural Joven can buy through Enterticket.

Inside, you pay with your wristband, which can be topped up online beforehand. Any remaining balance can be reclaimed free of charge from 3 to 12 November, only via the festival website.

How to get there and where to park in Montmeló

Espai Can Guitet is an open-air venue located next to gate 6 of the Circuit de Catalunya. The festival entrance is on the Mas Moreneta road. By car, from Barcelona take the AP-7, exit 13; from Girona, exit 15; and from the C-17, the Parets del Vallès exit. In all three cases, then continue along the C-35 towards the Circuit. The festival recommends public transport and points to the Generalitat's Mou-te route planner.

Parking is free and spread across four areas: Camí Fondo de Can Guitet street, the Circuit's H1 car park (entering via Rocco's), the industrial estate area and the Circuit's S car park (entering via the Mas Moreneta road). There is also a drop-off and pick-up point for anyone arriving by car without staying.

There is no camping area and camping in the car park is prohibited. You are, however, allowed to spend the night inside vans, campers and motorhomes, without setting out furniture and respecting local residents' rest; that area has no facilities. There are parking spaces for people with reduced mobility holding a blue disabled parking badge, which are booked by email with the festival, and a reserved PRM area for watching the concerts, with access on a first-come, first-served basis.

What you can bring in and how exits work

  • From 12:00 to 20:00 you can leave the venue and re-enter for free. From 20:00, anyone outside has to buy another ticket, if any are left.
  • You can bring in food, but not drink, nor glass or metal containers or cutlery that is not made of plastic or cardboard.
  • There are lockers with USB chargers that can be booked online; they open with your wristband or a PIN.

La Castanyada falls on the last day of official mourning for the Toledo rail accident, which mainly affects institutional events. The festival, which is privately organised, has not announced any changes. The rest of this week's events are in our guide to this week's festivals, and the region's calendar is in our listings of festivals in Catalonia.
