Bigsound Sevilla

Bigsound Sevilla was the Andalusian stop of the urban music festival born in València, held for two summers at the Plaza de España as part of Icónica Sevilla Fest. The brand included Sevilla among its 2026 locations, but that event never materialised, and today there is no Sevilla edition announced for 2026 or 2027.

What BIGSOUND was in Sevilla

BIGSOUND is a reggaeton, trap, R&B and urban pop festival that made its name at the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias in València and in recent years has been opening locations in other cities. In Sevilla it did not set up its own site: it became part of the programme of Icónica Sevilla Fest, the concert series that takes over the Plaza de España every summer, with nights focused on urban artists with huge appeal among young audiences.

That arrangement gave it a monumental stage in the city centre, but it also tied the Sevilla event to Icónica's calendar: without a slot in its programme, BIGSOUND had no venue of its own to fall back on.

The last known edition: 2025

The two Sevilla editions were held in 2024 and 2025, both at the Plaza de España. According to the review released by the organisers in September 2025, together they drew more than 30,000 attendees, of whom 41% did not live in the city and 16% came from abroad.

In that same announcement, BIGSOUND presented a calendar of five locations for 2026: València, Sevilla, Pontevedra and, as new additions, Torrevieja and Barakaldo. The other locations went on to have dates and a line-up; Sevilla did not.

What is known about Bigsound Sevilla today

There was no BIGSOUND in Sevilla in 2026. No dates, artists or ticket sales were announced, the brand did not feature in Icónica's programme that summer, and the page the official website devoted to Sevilla no longer exists. Nor has there been any statement explaining its absence, so it cannot be described as a formal cancellation.
