About the festival

Arrecife en Vivo wrapped up its 2026 edition on 10 October and has not yet set dates for 2027. The official website is still showing the programme that has just ended, with no calendar, line-up or preview of next year. What is clear is how the festival works: free concerts spread across the centre of Lanzarote's capital, linked by a street parade that keeps the audience moving with the music.

The missing piece is the calendar. In 2025 the organisers announced the 2026 dates as that edition came to a close, but for now their website carries no equivalent announcement for 2027.

What we know about Arrecife en Vivo 2027

For now, nothing concrete: no dates, artists or stages have been confirmed for 2027. Nor is there any ticket sale to keep an eye on, which is consistent with a festival that does not charge for its concerts.

Recent editions give a clue to the season, not a date. In both 2025 and 2026 the routes took place on Fridays in late September and early October, and 2026 was extended with an opening in early September and a Saturday finale. If that pattern holds, the festival would once again fill the start of autumn.

How a festival you explore on foot works

Arrecife en Vivo has no enclosed site. On its main days, the audience moves through the historic centre between four spots: La Plazuela, the Charco de San Ginés, Marina Lanzarote and the Muelle de Cruceros. A street parade marks each change of stage, and the full route is around two kilometres.

This layout changes how you plan the evening. You don't need to arrive for the first concert to see the headliner, because each artist plays in a different space at a fixed time. The final leg, at the Muelle de Cruceros, was restricted in 2026 to over-18s; anyone going with minors should bear this in mind, as the restriction did not apply to the other stages.

In recent editions, the festival's official sponsor has been Arrecife City Council, through its Tourism department, with support from several departments of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. That public funding explains the free model and its role as a showcase for Canary Islands bands alongside names from the rest of Spain.

What kind of line-up it usually brings together

Its profile has ranged across rock, punk, pop and fusion styles, with a mix of veteran groups and younger projects. In 2025 the route featured Mando Diao, Zahara and León Benavente; in 2026, each Friday opened with emerging bands and closed with the biggest draw at the Muelle de Cruceros. The local scene also has its own slot: in 2026, the Escenario Cajasiete open call reserved a place for a Canary Islands band with a fee of €3,000, and the opening day was devoted entirely to artists from Lanzarote.

How Arrecife en Vivo 2026 went

The 2026 edition ran from 5 September to 10 October, with six free days. Before that came a warm-up: on 17 July, the Recova Municipal hosted a Radio 3 party with Naife, Drûpe, Pleito, Adora and Laiv.

  • 5 September: a gala devoted to Lanzarote talent at Marina Lanzarote, with SAO, Kardomillo and 15 Feet Underground, among others.
  • 18 September: Hermana Furia, The Rapants, Repion and Ultraligera, with a DJ set by Ángel Carmona.
  • 25 September: The Anger Price, MFC Chicken, Alfredo Piedrafita and Chambao, who were celebrating 25 years.
  • 2 October: Gyoza, Maria Iskariot, Def Con Dos and Evaristo, plus a DJ set by Dyatlov.
  • 9 October: Gunpowder, Vera Fauna, O'Funk'Illo and M-Clan, with a DJ set by Adora.
  • 10 October: a morning of up-and-coming local talent in La Plazuela and a finale at the Charco de San Ginés with Alea Jacta, as part of a day linked to World Mental Health Day.

On all four Friday routes the order was always the same: 18:00 in La Plazuela, 19:30 at the Charco, 21:00 at Marina Lanzarote and 22:30 at the Muelle de Cruceros, Canary Islands time. We covered the Def Con Dos and Evaristo night in our stage times guide for 2 October, and the edition's full line-up in our preview of the six days. To see how the format has changed, the launch of the 2024 edition offers a useful comparison.

Other music plans in Arrecife and Lanzarote

The capital is not left without music when the route ends. On the same weekend as the finale, the Recinto Ferial hosted LATAM VIVE, with free entry and salsa from Javier Vásquez; we covered it in our guide to its Sunday. In the large paid-festival format, the island hosted the Lava Live Festival in 2026, with Juan Luis Guerra, Leiva and Nathy Peluso.
