About the festival
The Fiestas de San Fernando de Henares 2026 take place from 22 to 31 May with a very extensive free music programme and a notable new addition: the new Recinto de Conciertos El Batán. This venue increases capacity compared with previous editions and hosts some of the biggest concerts of the fiestas.
Fiestas de San Fernando de Henares 2026
The line-up combines pop, rock, flamenco, dance bands, DJ sets and family or open-air square concerts. It is a programme designed for different audiences: local residents, people from the Corredor del Henares and visitors from Madrid looking for free things to do in the second half of May.

- Saturday 23 May, Teatro Federico García Lorca: María Toledo, the only ticketed concert announced, with limited tickets.

Tickets and access
Most of the concerts are free. At El Batán, priority access is planned for residents of San Fernando de Henares with their DNI, with doors opening two hours before the main performances. María Toledo's concert at the Teatro Federico García Lorca is listed as the ticketed exception within the highlighted music programme.
Getting there
San Fernando de Henares is connected to Madrid and the Corredor del Henares by public transport and road. For the main concerts, the reference point is El Batán. For events in the square, it is also worth checking Plaza de España and the Teatro Federico García Lorca.
Tips for attendees
- Arrive early for the concerts at El Batán, especially on the most popular nights.
- Check the venue for each performance: not all the music takes place in the same space.
- Bear in mind the priority for residents at the main concerts in the new venue.
- Plan your journey home if you are relying on night-time public transport.
Accommodation near San Fernando de Henares
Most attendees will be able to travel there and back from Madrid, Coslada, Torrejón or Alcalá de Henares. If you are travelling from further afield, you can look for accommodation in San Fernando de Henares or widen your search to Madrid and the towns of the Corredor.
Which nights could draw the biggest crowds
The nights with the greatest pull are expected to be 22, 23, 29 and 30 May. The opening night with Merino and La Frontera, the rock night with Burning, Benito Kamelas and Los de Marras, the night of Panorama and 40 Session, and the big finale with Demarco Flamenco and Lérica attract different audiences, but all of them are capable of filling the El Batán area.
The new venue improves capacity, although that does not remove the need to arrive early. Priority for residents with their DNI makes planning an important factor for those coming from other towns.
Quick summary
- Best for: audiences from east Madrid and the Corredor del Henares looking for free concerts.
- Watch out for: priority for residents, door opening times and the difference between El Batán, Plaza de España and the theatre.
- What sets it apart: an extensive local fiestas programme with a new large-capacity venue.
