Generación Tocata

Generación Tocata has no event announced in Zaragoza after the one on 19 September 2025. As of 14 October 2026, neither its official website nor the ticketing platforms consulted show any dates for 2026 or 2027, and the 2026 Pilar programme at the Pabellón Príncipe Felipe, featuring La Oreja de Van Gogh and Sergio Dalma, did not repeat the eighties night the brand staged there in 2024. Here is what it offered in the city and the little that is known about its return.

A night of eighties pop with the original artists

The name refers to Tocata, the TVE music programme from the eighties, and the concept follows suit: a single night with artists from the era on stage, a mix of Spanish pop and rock, italo disco and eurodance, plus the odd tribute act when the original band no longer tours. In practice it works as a long multi-artist concert packed with very well-known songs, rather than a festival spread over several days.

The two events in Zaragoza: Pilar 2024 and September 2025

The first came during the Fiestas del Pilar 2024: Generación Tocata Pilar 80's took place on 5 October 2024 at the Pabellón Príncipe Felipe, with Samantha Fox as the headline draw and C.C. Catch, Ryan Paris, Iván, Vicky Larraz, Baccara, Azul y Negro and Gonzalo on the line-up. Tickets cost €35 in advance and €40 on the door.

The second was on Friday 19 September 2025 at 21:00 in the Sala Multiusos at the Auditorio de Zaragoza. The announced line-up brought together Vicky Larraz, Iván, Boney M Experience, Amistades Peligrosas, Alejo Stivel (Tequila), El Norte, Fiordaliso, Ryan Paris, Locomía, Gonzalo, Baccara and Javier Ojeda (Danza Invisible), with prices from €39 to €75 according to the Aragón Musical listings. The move from a sports arena to an auditorium hall, and from the city's patron saint festivities to a Friday in September, changed the scale of the event considerably.

The brand has also staged nights in the same format outside Aragon, such as the one at the Bilbao Arena, with Samantha Fox, Fancy and Boney M. among the names.

What is known about a next edition

Nothing concrete. The Generación Tocata website lists Zaragoza 2024 and Zaragoza 2025 as past editions and offers a dossier for town councils interested in booking the show, but does not publish a calendar. On Tomaticket, which sold tickets for the 2025 event, the artist appears with no upcoming events. If it returns to Zaragoza, the announcement is likely to come with the date, venue and ticket sales all at once, as happened on the two previous occasions.
