Hallowindie 2026: Alcalá Norte replace Ginebras on León's Halloween night with La La Love You

Eleven days before Halloween, Hallowindie is changing one of its big names. Ginebras will be unable to play in León because one of the band's members is on medical leave, and the organisers have secured Alcalá Norte as their replacement, as reported by Heraldo de León on Wednesday. The sixth edition takes place on Saturday 31 October at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de León and, for the first time, begins the night before with an evening of acoustic sets.

Alcalá Norte come in for Ginebras on the Saturday line-up

Saturday 31 is headlined by La La Love You. The pop punk band from Parla were already on the Hallowindie line-up in 2023, and arrive in León a week after playing at Tenerife Peñón Fest. They are followed by Alcalá Norte, Cariño, Amatria, The Sirius, Standby Rock and DJ Motto, who was also on last year's line-up.

The change is no small one. Along with La La Love You and Cariño, Ginebras were one of the three big names in the announcement, and were coming to present «Donde nada es para tanto». The festival has said that the member's recovery comes first, and the band are keeping their 2027 club tour. Alcalá Norte, a rock band from Madrid, arrive with a new album due out on 4 November, according to Heraldo de León. The replacement swaps Ginebras' pop for a more rock-oriented live show.

The official ticket seller puts doors at 18:00. The organisers have not yet published set times for each band; Heraldo de León notes that Alcalá Norte's slot has not yet been confirmed.

Friday 30: acoustic sets with the same ticket

This year's new addition is the pre-Hallowindie on Friday 30: three acoustic concerts by Javi Chapela, Noa and Casino Montreal. Casino Montreal is an indie rock band, not a venue, even though its name appears next to the dates on the festival website.

Anyone with a Saturday ticket can also attend on Friday at no extra cost. For those going only to the acoustic sets, tickets will be available for €15 on the door. The website and ticket seller do not yet say what time they start or whether they take place at the same Palacio, so it is worth checking the festival's social media before going.

Tickets: the third tier, at €40 plus fees

The official ticket seller is Ctickets, and a single ticket gives access to both days. This was how the tiers stood on 21 October:

• First tier, €29, and second, €35: sold out.
• Third tier, €40 plus €4 in fees: currently on sale.
• Final tier, €46 plus €4.60 in fees.
• Door on the day of the concert, €55.

Ctickets states that under-16s must be accompanied by an adult, and the festival website requires minors to bring an authorisation form signed by their father, mother or guardian, who must accompany them.

If you can't make it to León, La La Love You go on tour in January. The nearest dates are 22 January at Gijón Arena and 24 January at Sala Andén 56 in Burgos, the second date in that city after the 23rd sold out, with tickets on Fever for Gijón and Burgos. Costume contest: €1,500, with a bigger prize for groups

Costumes are not compulsory, but at Hallowindie they are almost the norm: last year around 2,500 attendees turned up in costume, according to La Nueva Crónica. The contest has two categories:

• Individual or couple: €500 and tickets for next year's edition. The winner is announced at the end of the night.
• Groups of five or more people: €1,000 and tickets for next year's edition.

To take part you need to fill in the entry form at the entrance and have a photo taken at the festival photocall, which is the only one the jury judges. The rules set a window of 17:30 to 20:30 for that photo, but the ticket seller puts doors at 18:00, so in practice there are two and a half hours: it is best to head to the photocall as soon as you get in. The finalists, five per category, are announced around the middle of the festival.
