Chambao

A project from Málaga formed in 2002 by singer La Mari and instrumentalists Daniel and Eduardo Casañ, which since 2005 has been her solo career. They called their blend of flamenco styles and chill-out electronica flamenco chill, and Endorfinas en la mente (2003), featuring “Ahí estás tú”, brought them to wider attention. In 2005 and 2007 they released Pokito a poko and Con otro aire, and the socially themed single “Papeles mojados” was nominated for a Latin Grammy. La Mari wound up the project in 2018 and revived it in 2023 with En la cresta del ahora.
