About the festival

Boombastic Canarias was the island venue of Boombastic, the reggaeton, trap and urban pop festival: a June weekend in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria that was held three summers in a row, from 2023 to 2025. There was no Canary Islands edition in 2026 and none has been announced for 2027.

Three summers at the Anexo del Estadio de Gran Canaria

Boombastic arrived in Gran Canaria in 2023 with two days, on 23 and 24 June, at the Anexo del Estadio de Gran Canaria. According to the organisers, that debut drew more than 40,000 attendees and more than 40 artists, a result that led to the swift announcement of a second edition, set for 21 and 22 June 2024.

The last known edition: 2025

The third and, for now, last event on the island took place on 20 and 21 June 2025, once again at the Anexo del Estadio de Gran Canaria. Canary Islands event guides listed a line-up headlined by Duki, Nicky Jam and Tenerife-born Cruz Cafuné, with artists such as La Pantera, Alejo and La Joaqui in the middle of the bill.

What is known today about Boombastic in the Canary Islands

In July 2026, with the Asturias edition billed as The Last Dance, Boombastic announced its farewell to festivals in Spain in order to grow in other markets. Weeks later, the brand partly reversed course: it announced that Boombastic Asturias will return to Llanera from 15 to 17 July 2027.

That return does not include the Canary Islands. The festival's official website shows only the 2027 Asturias event, and there are no dates, venue or ticket sales for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Anyone looking for the Boombastic experience currently has just one confirmed option, the Boombastic Asturias festival page; for the rest of the islands' calendar, our selection of festivals in the Canary Islands brings together the active events.
