Capla Festival 2027 does not yet have a date, line-up or tickets on sale. The 2026 edition took place on Saturday 3 October at the Recinto de Ferias y Mercados in Castellón de la Plana, and in mid-October the festival's website is still showing that event, now with a notice on how to recover any remaining balance on the cashless card.

What we know about Capla Festival 2027

For now, nothing official. The organisers have not announced a date, venue, artists or the start of ticket sales for the third edition, and the website is still showing the 2026 prices.

What does exist is a short pattern of just two editions: the first was held on Saturday 4 October 2025 and the second on Saturday 3 October 2026, both at the same exhibition grounds. It is a clue for anyone wanting to keep early October free, not a date: the festival has not confirmed that it will repeat the same timing.

A full day of Spanish pop and rock across several generations

Capla is a single-day festival. In 2026, the gates opened in the mid-afternoon and the music went on into the early hours, around twelve hours in total. The name plays on the syllables of Castellón de la Plana and on the Premios Capla, a fondly remembered children's competition in the city.

The line-up is aimed mainly at audiences who grew up with 1980s and 1990s pop and rock, with the odd more recent name and bands from the province. In 2025 the performers were Fangoria, Sidonie, La La Love You, Seguridad Social, Nancys Rubias, We Are Not DJs and local band Valiente Bosque. In 2026, the focus shifted to Loquillo, Miss Caffeina, OBK and Los Romeos, a band closely linked to Castellón.

The second edition added a DJ stage, Fraguel Rock, which filled the changeovers on the main stage and kept the night going after the last concert. The festival also has a charitable side: money raised from games, workshops and activities goes to local social organisations that support people who are ill and their families.

The Recinto de Ferias y Mercados in Castellón

Both editions have been held at the Recinto de Ferias y Mercados (Ronda Circunvalación, 10), in Castellón de la Plana. In 2026 the festival listed bus routes L3, L17 and CVCS-105-4 and the TRAM T1 as public transport options. There was no parking inside the venue, but there was a free unpaved car park about 400 metres away, opposite the law courts, and a paid car park on avenida del Mar.

The 2026 conditions give an idea of how the festival is run, although they may change in 2027. Under-16s were not admitted, and 16- and 17-year-olds needed an authorisation signed by a responsible adult. Tickets allowed free exit and re-entry. The event was outdoors, with a food area with tables, vegan options and gluten-free beer. There was no left-luggage, cloakroom or phone charging points.

Reference prices: what Capla 2026 cost

Prices for 2027 are not known. As a guide, general admission for 2026 went on sale in July from €36 plus fees, and in the final tier the website showed it at €42 plus fees. VIP rose from €75 to €85 plus fees. As well as priority entry, VIP included a reserved area with a chill-out zone, its own toilets and bar, and dedicated queues at the bars and food trucks. The festival also sold a package with VIP ticket, hotel and transfers for €124 per person in a double room.

The tiered price increases are the practical lesson from 2026: those who bought in July paid €6 less for general admission and €10 less for VIP than those who waited for the final tier.

How Capla Festival 2026 went

The second edition took place on Saturday 3 October 2026. On the Estrella Damm stage, the performers were Provi Morcillo (16:30), Los Romeos (17:40), Los Indi.os (19:35), Miss Caffeina (21:05), Loquillo (23:15) and OBK (01:15). At Fraguel Rock, Marc Barceló, Paco Roca, Rafa Sánchez, Don Fluor, Toxicosmos and Pepe Roca played DJ sets, with closing announced for 04:00.
