About the festival

Festival Boreal celebrates its nineteenth edition in Los Silos, Tenerife, with a cultural programme running from 16 to 20 September 2026. The main concerts are concentrated on Friday 18 and Saturday 19, with artists from Africa, the Americas, Europe and the Canary Islands and a line-up that blends world music, dub, electronic music, hip hop and contemporary creation.

Dates and venues for Festival Boreal 2026

The full programme begins on Wednesday 16 and continues until Sunday 20. The ticketed music core takes place on 18 September on the esplanade of the car park in the historic centre and on 19 September at various spaces in the historic centre of Los Silos.

As the festival is spread across several locations in the municipality, it is worth checking the map and the programme before setting off. This listing does not assign a single venue to the edition as a whole to avoid a misleading location.

Line-up for Friday 18 September

Friday brings together BCUC, Hempress Sativa with Paolo Baldini Dub Files, The Neighborhood Kids, El Veneno Crew, Renata Flores, Rubio, The Queen of Bass, Pleito and Jable, along with the other acts announced by the organisers for that day.

BCUC bring to Tenerife their blend of percussion, vocals and collective energy from Soweto. Renata Flores combines Quechua with hip hop and Andean sounds; Rubio crafts electronic pop with dark textures; and the collaboration between Hempress Sativa and Paolo Baldini connects a Jamaican voice with dub production.

Line-up for Saturday 19 September

Saturday is headlined by Daddy G, co-founder of Massive Attack, in a DJ set, and by Aterciopelados. The programme also features Imarhan, Throes + The Shine, Fuensanta, Josyara, Candeleros, La Terrorista del Sabor and Xerach.

The day's journey runs from the Tuareg desert blues of Imarhan to the Latin rock of Aterciopelados, the Afro-Portuguese mix of Throes + The Shine, the experimental songwriting of Fuensanta and Josyara and the electronic selections of Daddy G.

Tickets and official buses

Tickets and transport seats are managed through Tickety. The organisers offer return buses for €15 on both concert days, with limited seats and advance booking required.

Departures have been announced at 15:00 from the Palmetum in Santa Cruz, at 15:20 from Leocadio Machado, in La Laguna, and at 15:45 from El Trompo, in La Orotava. The return journey leaves Los Silos at 02:15 on Friday and at 03:15 on Saturday.

Accessibility and cultural programme

Festival Boreal is setting up a Punto Naranja in the plaza de La Luz and a mobile unit at the Sala de Exposiciones Pérez Enríquez. The organisers have announced priority viewing areas, hearing loops, sensory backpacks, sign language interpretation, pictograms and mental health support spaces.

The programme goes beyond the concerts. It includes the Add Fuel exhibition at the Sala Pérez Enríquez, a dance residency, workshops, family activities and the Premio Boreal 2026, awarded to the Canarian writer Andrea Abreu.

Sustainability and recommendations

The festival maintains measures linked to local produce, the elimination of single-use plastics, the reduction of night-time noise and safe, respectful spaces. To plan your visit, check the weather, wear suitable footwear for getting around the historic centre and book both your ticket and the bus in advance if you are not going to drive.
