About the festival
The Festival Flotante Barbos in Baiona does not yet have a date for 2027. Its third edition took place on Wednesday 5 August 2026 on Praia da Barbeira and, if the pattern of the last two years holds, the next one will be announced in the middle of summer, just a few weeks before the event.
A stage on the water, free and right in the centre of Baiona
Barbos is an afternoon-long DJ session with one feature that explains its success: the DJ booth is set up on a floating platform anchored in the bay, facing the beach and the Parador de Monterreal. The crowd dances on the sand, at the water's edge or right in the water, on inflatables and lilos, and the music runs from mid-afternoon until past midnight.
Entry is free and open to all, with no registration, and the festival is part of BaiVerán, the Concello de Baiona's summer programme. As it is a public beach, the usual beach facilities are available, and the bars and terraces of the old town and the seafront promenade are just a few minutes' walk away.
Baiona is around 25 kilometres from Vigo along the PO-552. As the beach is right in the historic centre, the most practical option is to leave your car in the designated car parks on the outskirts and walk in.
What we know about Barbos 2027
There is no date, line-up or BaiVerán 2027 programme yet. In 2025 and 2026 the line-up was revealed in the last weeks of July, and all three editions have been held in the first week of August, always on a Wednesday, shortly after Baiona's Festas da Anunciada. This is a pattern, not a commitment from the organisers.
As it is free, Barbos has no ticket sales to keep an eye on. What matters more than at a festival held at a venue is the weather: with the booth out on the sea, the plan depends on the state of the bay on the day.
How Barbos 2026 went
The organisers announced the date around 22 July with a message in Galician celebrating «as incribles dúas primeiras edicións», and on 28 July they revealed the line-up: five sets from Neviic, Diego Mariño, Luzeta, Ivi Bralo and Ganxx. Diego Mariño had already played at the first edition and Ivi Bralo at the second, confirming a line-up built around DJs from the Galician scene rather than touring names. No attendance figures have been published for this third edition.
The first two editions
Barbos made its debut on Wednesday 7 August 2024, from 17:00, as the first festival with a floating stage in Galicia, according to its organisers. That first line-up featured Groove Amigos, Carlos López, Diego Mariño, Isak Martínez, Mónica LKN, Pitty, Samy Pexe, Vince Stone and Yaggo, and the party went on beyond 01:00.
The second edition, on 6 August 2025, kept the same start time and was headlined by Groove Amigos, the DJ from O Porriño, joined by DMiron, Borja Solla, Yaggo and Ivi Bralo. In just two summers, Barbos went from newcomer to being, for websites such as Festivales de España, the best-known event of BaiVerán.
