Igualada Rock City

Igualada Rock City 2026 takes place on Saturday 22 August at the Anfiteatre de Les Comes in Igualada. The 12th edition will start at 21:30, admission will be free and it will bring together Def Con Dos, Lucifer, Deaf Devils and Indar as part of the Festa Major d’Igualada programme.

The move to the Anfiteatre de Les Comes is one of the main new features of this edition. The festival's older location pages may still show venues used in previous years, so for 2026 Les Comes should be taken as the reference.

The organisers have not yet published, in text form, the running order or the individual time for each band. The 21:30 time refers to the general start. It is worth checking the official programme as the date approaches in case a detailed set-times table is added.

Igualada Rock City 2026 line-up

Def Con Dos will come to Igualada with their mix of rap, metal and punk. The line-up also highlights the 30th anniversary of Alzheimer, one of the key albums of their career and a landmark of Spanish crossover.

Lucifer bring an international take on classic heavy metal and hard rock. The band, linked to Stockholm and led by Johanna Platow, combine seventies-rooted melodies, heavy guitars and a darkly gothic aesthetic.

Deaf Devils represent Valencian punk rock with influences from the Scandinavian scene and attitude-driven rock. Indar round off the night with modern, progressive and extreme metal. The result is four different acts within a guitar-focused programme.

Free admission as part of the Festa Major

Igualada Rock City is part of the Festa Major d’Igualada 2026 events and keeps free admission. No advance registration or ticket has been announced. As with any free event, it is advisable to arrive in good time and follow the venue's access and capacity instructions.

The event is organised by the Associació Rock City in collaboration with the Ajuntament d’Igualada. The association was founded with the aim of livening up the town's music scene and organises concerts, festivals and rock-related activities.

Twelve editions energising rock in Igualada

The festival has built a track record based on line-ups that mix Spanish and international bands and different styles within rock. The 2026 edition keeps that approach, although it changes venue and is once again integrated into the town's main celebration.

The combination of Def Con Dos, Lucifer, Deaf Devils and Indar spans several generations without turning the night into a nostalgia line-up. There is crossover born in the nineties, heavy metal in the seventies tradition, young punk rock and current progressive metal. That breadth explains the festival's identity better than any single genre label.

The official artwork was created and designed by Joel Abad. The poster uses a comic-book and horror aesthetic, with a zombie character and high-contrast colours, and communicates the four bands as well as the free admission and the new location.

Before travelling, it is worth checking whether the organisers publish the final running order or any specific access instructions. For 2026, the old Parc Central map should not be used as a reference.

Igualada has road and public transport connections with Barcelona and other Catalan towns, but the final stretch to Les Comes needs to be planned. Free admission does not remove the need to check return times, especially if the programme runs late into the night.
