About the festival

Invernia Fest Pontevedra has not yet confirmed a new edition for 2027. As of 7 April 2026, the organisers have not published dates, a line-up or any new practical information about its future. What does exist is a recent first edition, held in February 2026 at the Recinto Ferial de Pontevedra, which is enough to understand what kind of event it set out to establish in the Galician winter.

That context is useful because this is not a festival with a long, established track record, but a fledgling event that still has to prove it can continue. That is why it is worth clearly separating what has been confirmed from what serves only as a historical reference: the 2027 edition has not been announced; the 2026 edition did, however, lay down a concrete foundation in terms of format, city and musical direction.

What we know so far about Invernia Fest 2027

At the moment there are no exact dates, no confirmed artists and no ticket details for 2027. The festival's own website shows no new public announcement beyond what remains from the previous edition. For such a young event, this silence means its continuation cannot be taken for granted, nor can the 2026 details be repeated as though they still applied.

The most honest way to read the situation is this: no new edition has been confirmed, but there is a recent first edition that can serve as a reference for understanding the direction the project took.

What the first edition in Pontevedra was like

Invernia Fest made its debut on 6 and 7 February 2026 at the Recinto Ferial de Pontevedra. The event was billed as a winter festival focused on Spanish rock and pop, with an indoor venue and very straightforward urban logistics for local audiences or for short trips from elsewhere in Galicia.

The programme for that first edition brought together the following names:

  • Sôber
  • La Fuga
  • Obús
  • Efecto Mariposa
  • Agoraphobia
  • Chroma
  • Liorta

Reviews and previews of that edition also mentioned DJ sets, food trucks and an organisation designed precisely to fill the gap left by the lack of major music events in the low season. In that sense, Pontevedra offered a very logical setting: a manageable city, an indoor venue and easy attendance without turning it into a long journey.

Why it is still one to watch

Festivals clearly designed for February are few and far between in Galicia, and that was already a significant point of difference. Invernia Fest tried to fill a largely overlooked gap with a simple formula: two days, well-known names and a venue sheltered from the weather. If the organisers decide to return in 2027, the most valuable thing will not just be the line-up, but seeing whether that model manages to establish itself.

Until there is an official announcement, the sensible thing is to leave it there: there is a precedent, an initial identity and potential interest, but not yet a confirmed new edition.
