About the festival
La Movida Sound Barbate 2026 has already taken place. Here you can check the dates, line-up and practical information for that edition.
La Movida Sound 2026 took place on 7 and 8 August in Barbate (Cádiz), next to Playa de la Hierbabuena. The festival approaches its second edition with a crowd-pleasing mix of pop and guitar music and an expected attendance that makes it one of the standout events of the Andalusian summer.
Dates and venue
The 2026 edition took place on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 August at the Recinto Ferial de Barbate, next to Playa de la Hierbabuena and within the setting of the Parque Natural de la Breña y Marismas del Barbate. The location is one of the festival's distinguishing features, with a format designed to combine concerts and a coastal getaway in the same plan.
2026 line-up
The current line-up has Taburete as one of its main draws and also brought together Siloé, La La Love You, Pignoise, Salistre, Leire Martínez, Marlena, Íñigo Quintero, Besmaya, Inazio, Mafalda Cardenal, Mi Hermano y Yo and Pavlenha. The mix spans pop, indie and guitar music, with artists from several generations.
The most immediately accessible part of the line-up rests on bands with highly singalong repertoires, such as Taburete, Pignoise, Siloé and La La Love You. Leire Martínez, Marlena and Íñigo Quintero broaden that reading towards pop, while Besmaya, Inazio, Mafalda Cardenal and Pavlenha add a more recent generational layer.
The programme is designed for two full days, not for a single concert. When the breakdown by day and stage is published, it will be important to check for possible clashes before deciding when to arrive at the venue. For now, the organisers have set times for each artist still pending confirmation.

Tickets for the 2026 edition
Tickets for 2026 are no longer on sale because the edition has ended.
What the experience will be like
The organisers are offering more than 20 hours of music over two days and expect around 20,000 attendees. The venue will also offer food from food trucks and rest areas, so the event is not limited to the concerts: it aims to work as a complete summer plan in Barbate.
Access, transport and services
La Movida Sound presents itself as a festival for all ages. The organisers confirm that the venue will be adapted for people with reduced mobility and provide a contact channel for special needs. The Bono Cultural is also accepted as a payment method through the official ticket sales.
The festival does not have its own campsite. If you are travelling from elsewhere, the most sensible option is to book accommodation and check parking and transport options in advance. The official website links to a dedicated car park and announces bus routes, although their routes, timetables and tickets have yet to be published.
The payment system at the bars and the exit and re-entry conditions have also yet to be confirmed. These are important details for planning the day, so they should be checked again closer to 7 August. The organisers prohibit botellón (outdoor group drinking) in the area around the venue.
