Festivals in August 2027

After July, August is the month with the most festivals. Andalusia and the Valencian Community host the largest number of events, followed by Catalonia and Galicia, while Castile and León adds Sonorama Ribera, at the Recinto El Picón in Aranda de Duero.

Pop and rock share the spotlight, but electronic music and techno carry a lot of weight in August, with events such as Medusa Festival, on the beach at Cullera; Aquasella, in Arriondas; and Dantz Festival, at the Anfiteatro de Miramón in Donostia. In Benicàssim, August is the month of Rototom Sunsplash Benicàssim.

Much of August's line-up takes place outside provincial capitals: Brizna Festival in Ayerbe, Festival Amante in Borja, Ezcaray Fest in Ezcaray, Boina Fest in Arenillas and Modorrowland Fest, which takes over Calle La Cárcava in Joarilla de las Matas. In Castilla-La Mancha, Imposible Sound is held at the Plaza de Toros de Almagro.

Villena is one of the hubs for rock and punk, with Rabo Lagartija and Aúpa Lumbreiras!!, joined by Festival Poma Rock, in Agres; AbejaRock, in Béjar; and Igualada Rock City, at the Anfiteatre de Les Comes.

In the Canary Islands, August brings FiestoRon, in Arucas, and the electronic music of Sunblast Festival, in Adeje. Several summer festivals that begin in July finish their run in August, such as Low Festival, in Torrevieja; Arenal Sound, in Burriana; and Cap Roig Festival, in Calella de Palafrugell.
