About the festival

Marenostrum Fuengirola 2026 once again turns the area around Castillo Sohail into one of the great music cities on Andalusia's calendar. The programme has already got under way with major spring concerts and runs through the summer with international artists, Spanish pop, Latin music, electronic music, rock and events designed for very different audiences.

Rather than a festival packed into a single weekend, Marenostrum works as a summer series. This allows it to host stadium tours, family nights, electronic events and concerts by artists who draw very different crowds. Among the festivals in Andalusia, its big strength is the combination of venue, coastal town and an extended schedule.

Tickets and type of programme

Tickets are sold per concert or event, so each night has its own price, availability and conditions. It is worth checking carefully whether a concert is seated, standing or mixed, or whether it is part of a festival format within the series. Marenostrum is not planned around a fixed pass, but as a schedule of dates that can be combined to suit your tastes and travel plans.

The breadth of the line-up allows for very different approaches: a pop getaway with Aitana, Pablo Alborán or Dani Martín; an international night with Sting; a Latin date with Romeo Santos and Prince Royce; or an electronic night with Underworld, Sven Väth and Bonobo. That diversity is precisely what keeps the venue alive all summer long.

How to get to Castillo Sohail

The venue is next to Castillo Sohail, in Fuengirola, with fairly easy access from Málaga and other parts of the Costa del Sol. If you are travelling by train, the Cercanías line between Málaga and Fuengirola is a very useful option, although it is worth checking late-night return times before relying on it alone.

By car, Fuengirola is connected via the A-7 and AP-7. For high-demand concerts, arriving early is almost essential: the approaches to the castle area can get very congested, especially in July and August. If the festival provides car parks or recommended routes, it is best to follow those directions and avoid improvising at the last minute.

Accommodation in Fuengirola and the surrounding area

Fuengirola has a wide range of hotels, apartments and holiday lets, but summer is high season on the Costa del Sol. For very popular concerts, prices can rise quickly. Staying in Fuengirola is the most convenient option if you want to walk back or make short journeys, but Mijas, Benalmádena, Torremolinos or Málaga can also work if you have your transport sorted.

If you are going to several concerts in the series, it is worth planning the trip as a stay of several days. The beach, food and drink and connections with Málaga make Marenostrum more than a night at a concert: it can become a full getaway.

Tips

The heat, getting there and back, and leaving the venue are the three things to watch. Wear comfortable shoes, check whether you can bring water in or whether there are specific restrictions, and look up the opening times. At large concerts, getting in early can make the experience much better.

The programme may continue to add or adjust dates, so it is worth checking the times and specific conditions for each concert as your visit approaches.

2026 opening milestone: El Último de la Fila opened their comeback tour at Marenostrum Fuengirola on 25 April in front of more than 18,500 people, with tickets sold out and the Unicaja stage as the starting point for one of the most eagerly awaited reunions in Spanish pop rock.

Satisfaxion at Marenostrum Fuengirola 2026

Satisfaxion will host one of the big electronic nights of the summer on 8 August 2026, with Underworld, Sven Väth and Bonobo as the headliners on the Escenario Unicaja. The event combines live electronic music, techno culture and a more melodic approach aimed at a festival crowd.
