Festivals in May 2027

In May the season stretches across almost the entire map, with the Community of Madrid, Andalusia and the Valencian Community hosting the largest number of events. In Madrid, the electronic music of elrow Town, in Torrejón de Ardoz, sits alongside events such as IMB Festival and Huellas Music Fest; in Andalusia, Interestelar takes over the CAAC in Sevilla and oleoSÓNICA Jaén Music Fest the IFEJA; in the Valencian Community, the month brings Spring Festival, in the province of Alicante, and Nómade Festival, in Fontanars dels Alforins.

Pop, rock and indie share the spotlight, with electronic music also very much present. Rock and punk have one of their biggest events in Viña Rock, which spans April and May in Villarrobledo.

World music has several events in May spread across the map: WOMAD, in the province of Cáceres; Murcia Tres Culturas, which combines it with flamenco and folk; Up&Down Festival Tenerife, in Puerto de la Cruz; and Millo Verde, in Redondela, which adds reggae to the mix. In the same province of Pontevedra, Acapulpo Reggae Solidario brings reggae and dub to Moaña.

In the north of the peninsula, rock rules. Pamplona hosts Iruña Rock; Vitoria-Gasteiz, Bat Batean; and Durango, Koba Live, while Gijón adds the experimental electronic music of L.E.V. Festival. In Navarre, Cascante programmes Estaciones Sonoras Primavera, featuring indie and folk.

May also coincides with several long-running festivals that stay active until the end of the summer. Iberoexperia Sessions Madrid and Marenostrum, in Fuengirola, keep their programmes running until September, and El Muelle Live continues until August in the province of Alicante.
