Bat Batean 2026 took place on 15 and 16 May in Vitoria-Gasteiz with a programme marked by a combative spirit, sharp guitars, rap, ska, punk and urban sounds with street roots. The edition once again showed the strength of a scene that doesn't need to soften itself to fill a festival.

The line-up brought together La Élite, Nerve Agent, Brigade Loco, La Txama, Hofe, Juantxo Skalari & La Rude Band, Jarfaiter, Aida Blanco, Lukiek, Segismundo Toxicómano, Skabidean, Roy Ellis, Malakias, Malko, Maruxak, Metrika, Mikosis, Mirotz, Nafarroa 1512, Nevadah, No Limits, Safu, Santa Salut and Sedientos de Cumbia.

A line-up with many facets

Bat Batean worked through a build-up of energy. La Élite and Nerve Agent brought the electricity of a new punk and post-punk wave; Brigade Loco and Segismundo Toxicómano connected with more seasoned guitar audiences; Jarfaiter, Metrika and Santa Salut opened the field up to rap and urban music.

The presence of Juantxo Skalari & La Rude Band and Skabidean also reinforced the festive, political ska strand, while other names completed a very broad map of the Basque and Spanish scene.

Vitoria as a meeting point

The 2026 edition made it clear that Bat Batean is not meant to be a neutral festival. It has the personality of the street, of community and of an audience looking for something more than a comfortable succession of concerts.

In Vitoria-Gasteiz, that mix found a natural setting: a city used to strong scenes, grassroots music culture and audiences that respond when the line-up speaks their language.
