Brit Under Fest

Brit Under Fest Barcelona 2026 has already taken place. Here you can find the dates, line-up and practical information for that edition.

Brit Under Fest Barcelona 2026 held its first edition on 15 and 16 May at Poble Espanyol de Barcelona, with a programme focused on new British trends, music, art, comedy, photography and contemporary culture.

The event was born with a very distinct identity: looking at the United Kingdom from Barcelona without limiting itself to nostalgia. Its appeal lay in the mix of emerging bands, cultural conversation and a festival scale designed for unhurried discovery.

Dates, venue and format

• Dates: 15 and 16 May 2026.

Artists and programme at Brit Under Fest 2026

The programme brought together Bikini Body, Hungry, Silverbacks, Pynch, Cooper T and King No-One, alongside cultural offerings such as the fashion performance by Sylvester & Francesca and the presence of The Comedy Clubhouse.

The festival also included a talk by Irvine Welsh with Ben Cardew, the photography exhibition from the British Culture Archive and the food offering from Banco de Boquerones. Taken together, this clearly shows the project's ambition: not to be just a series of concerts, but a small immersion in contemporary British culture.

Its place in Barcelona

Brit Under Fest works best when understood as a niche event with personality. Barcelona already has major benchmark festivals, but it also needs events of a more defined scale, capable of nurturing specific scenes and attracting a curious audience.

If the project continues, its challenge will be to grow without losing that sense of closeness: a carefully curated programme, a recognisable atmosphere and a real connection with those who still find in British music a language of their own.
