Festivals in Málaga

Summer accounts for most of the calendar in Málaga, and the majority of festivals are spread along the coast. Torremolinos is the clearest example: it hosts Puro Latino Torremolinos in July, Canela Party in August at its fairground and, bucking the trend, Rockin’ Race Jamboree, a rock festival held in February.

Reggaeton and urban music crop up at several points along the coastline, from Marenostrum in Fuengirola to Boombastic Costa del Sol in Estepona. Electronic music has two hubs: Dreambeach, in Vélez-Málaga between July and August, and Sophie Festival, at Ogus Park (Churriana). In Marbella, Starlite programmes pop, urban and Latin music at the Cantera de Nagüeles from June to September.
