About the festival

Boombastic Costa Del Sol was the Málaga edition of Boombastic, the urban music, pop and electronic festival brand launched in 2021. No Costa del Sol edition has been announced for 2026 or 2027: in 2026 the brand held only its Asturias edition, and its official website only announces the return to Llanera in 2027.

From Fuengirola to Málaga Forum

Boombastic arrived on the Málaga coast in 2022, with a single day on 14 August at Marenostrum in Fuengirola. In 2024 the event grew to two days, 26 and 27 July, at the newly opened Málaga Forum, with Rels B, Ovy on the Drums, Funzo and Baby Loud among its names.

The last known edition: 2025

The 2025 edition was announced at the fairground in Estepona, but on 17 July, a week before it was due to start, the organisers moved it back to Málaga Forum, citing force majeure. It took place from 24 to 27 July 2025, with a fourth day added without any new artists and a line-up headlined by Melendi, Saiko, Steve Aoki, Treno, Gordo Dei V, Taigo Pzk, Ovy on the Drums, Cano, Luck Ra, Khea and L-Gante.

The last-minute change of venue was the most talked-about aspect of that edition. Some festival-goers had already booked accommodation in Estepona, the organisers gave no information about transport to the new venue, and the edition had no camping or accommodation packages of its own.

What we know today

No edition has been announced on the Costa del Sol for 2026 or 2027. In 2026, Boombastic focused on Asturias, where it held the edition titled «The Last Dance» from 16 to 18 July. Its official website now announces the next event in Llanera, from 15 to 17 July 2027, with no sign of other venues.

Some ticketing sites still list a date in Fuengirola with no year and no active sales, without the backing of the organisers. Details of the edition that is still going ahead can be found on the Boombastic Asturias page and in our news story on the 2027 dates and the first passes.
