About the festival
MOGA Cádiz was the Spanish edition of Moga Festival, the electronic music gathering born in Essaouira (Morocco), which in July 2025 set up for four days in El Palmar de Vejer, with the Valhalla Beach Club as its main stage. It was its only edition in Cádiz: no edition has been announced in Spain for 2026 or 2027.
A Moroccan festival with a nomadic spirit
MOGA was born in Essaouira, on Morocco's Atlantic coast, and turns ten in 2026. Its line-up centres on house and afro house, with stages by the sea, and in recent years it has added other venues along the Atlantic coast.
The organisers presented the Cádiz stop as a nomadic chapter of the festival across El Palmar, Zahora and Vejer, and at ModoFestival we covered it when MOGA's debut in El Palmar was announced.
The last known edition: July 2025
MOGA Cádiz kicked off on Thursday 3 July 2025 with a free day, followed by three paid days, from 4 to 6 July, at the Valhalla Beach Club, with after-parties at El Cortijo. Tickets started at €22.
The line-up brought together house, techno and afro house names with international careers: Acid Pauli, Shimza, Eduardo de la Calle, Daniel Weil, Themba and Antilope, among others. The full day-by-day line-up is in our MOGA Cádiz 2025 day-by-day programme.
What we know today about MOGA in Spain
In 2026, MOGA has focused its calendar outside Spain. It scheduled MOGA Caparica, in Portugal, from 27 to 31 May, and the tenth-anniversary edition in Essaouira, from 30 September to 4 October, and it has announced a new venue in Bahia, Brazil. Its official website lists only those three venues and does not mention Cádiz.
There has been no announcement that the Cádiz edition has ended, but nor are there any dates, line-up or ticket sales for a return to El Palmar in 2026 or 2027.
