Ruada das Gotas

The Ruada das Gotas is the LGTBIQ+ Pride celebration in Ribadumia (Pontevedra): a June weekend of music, drag and street activities organised by the association Gotas as part of the municipality's Mes da Diversidade. The 2026 edition already took place in June, and the 2027 edition does not yet have a date or programme.

Ruada das Gotas 2027: what we know

For now, nothing official. Gotas has not announced the date or line-up for the next Ruada. The last three editions were held in June (15 and 16 June in 2024, 21 and 22 in 2025 and the weekend of 20 and 21 in 2026), always linked to the Mes da Diversidade, so the 2027 edition is likely to return to those weeks. Until the association announces it, this is only a pattern.

The location has not been announced either. In 2024 and 2025 the celebration was held in the Praza do Concello; the exact location for 2026 was not published.

A street party with rural roots

The Ruada is not a ticketed festival with an enclosed stage, but a community celebration. Gotas, Asociación pola diversidade social, presents it as a space to give visibility to the LGTBIQ+ community in rural O Salnés, where a lack of resources and of accepting spaces is still a burden, as the organisation itself explained in 2025. The Concello de Ribadumia helps with the organisation, and the mayor, David Castro, takes part in the official events.

The programme combines an official part (the reading of a manifesto and the presentation of the Ovos Dourados, the association's awards) with concerts, DJ sets, drag shows and activities for all ages. No ticket sales were announced for previous editions.

How the Ruada das Gotas 2026 went

According to Canal Rías Baixas's report, Ribadumia celebrated the Ruada throughout the weekend of 20 and 21 June 2026. The festive programme featured Sheila Patricia, O Xoán, El Nido and Señora DJ, and on Sunday there was a performance by the group Maricarme, a zumba display and a tortilla competition with the mayor on the judging panel.

The Mes da Diversidade programme then continued with a closing party on 26 June and a talk by the Xunta's Quérote+ service. In his speech, the mayor highlighted that Gotas's work is turning the municipality into a benchmark for LGTBIQ+ rights.

Previous editions

The 2025 edition was the sixth Ruada, according to Diario de Arousa, and took place on 21 and 22 June. Páxinas Galegas's listings for that year include performances by Guadi Galego, Catuxa Salom and Montedapena, among others. In 2024 the event was held on 15 and 16 June, with El Nido and Señora DJ on a line-up they returned to in 2026, which suggests a celebration that looks after its regulars from the Galician scene.
