Festivals in Extremadura

Festivals in Extremadura are spread across the provinces of Badajoz and Cáceres, with Mérida the town that features most often. It is home to CineBeat, an indie and pop festival, and Stone & Music Festival, held at the Teatro Romano.

The calendar has two peaks: spring and autumn. Between April and May comes Extremúsika, with rock and metal at the Recinto Hípico de Cáceres, alongside WOMAD. October brings together Festival Contempopranea, in Don Benito, and Cáceres Underground Weekend, as well as CineBeat. Summer, by contrast, barely features.
