About the festival

Badejazz, the Badajoz International Jazz Festival, holds its 39th edition from Wednesday 4 to Saturday 7 November 2026, dedicated to the memory of Gene García. It features three paid concerts at the Teatro López de Ayala, with Mark Guiliana, Antonio Serrano and Kurt Rosenwinkel, and a parallel programme that is mostly free: afternoons at El Espantaperros, jam sessions at 23:00 in the theatre's Cafetín and jazz in the street. It is organised by the Asociación Badejazz.

  • Wednesday 4: Baptiste Trotignon Trio, at 21:00 at the Fundación Caja Badajoz (calle Montesinos, 22), with free entry until capacity is reached.
  • Thursday 5: BadaBop Quartet at 18:00 at El Espantaperros (free); Mark Guiliana Beat Music at 21:00 at the Teatro López de Ayala (€15), and Narci González Quartet with a jam session at 23:00 in the theatre's Cafetín (free).
  • Friday 6: Joaquín de la Montaña Trio at 18:00 at El Espantaperros (free); Antonio Serrano and Kaele Jiménez Quartet, «Jazz Caló», with Tino di Geraldo, at 21:00 at the theatre (€15), and the tribute concert to Gene García with a jam session at 23:00 in the Cafetín (free).
  • Saturday 7: La Hora del Vermú with Javier Pérez Quintet at 13:00 in the Cafetín (€10, sold out); Badejazz en la Calle with the jazz course combos at 17:00 outside the theatre (free); Kurt Rosenwinkel, «The Remedy Tour», at 21:00 at the theatre (€15), and advanced combos with a jam session at 23:00 in the Cafetín (free).

The day-by-day programme, with background on each concert, is in our Badejazz 2026 guide.
