In short

  1. Friday 6 is the night of Arca, Shygirl and Tortoise, with Helena Hauff, Fennesz and Anthony Rother on the same day at Fira Montjuïc.
  2. Saturday 7 revolves around Max Cooper and Machine Girl, with Nicola Cruz, Martin Rev of Suicide, and the joint premiere of Nosaj Thing and Daito Manabe.
  3. The two-day pass now costs €117 plus fees and the day ticket €63: in the summer the pass was on sale for €95, €22 less than now.
  4. The week before, there are two free events at the Apolo venue, with registration, and a Mouse on Mars concert on Thursday 5 for €17.

Three weeks ahead of its fifteenth edition, Mira Festival has now split its line-up by day. The Barcelona festival of electronic music and digital arts returns to Fira Montjuïc on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November, with two nights of different character: the first closer to experimental pop and instrumental rock; the second focused on audiovisual live shows.

Mira does not work like a conventional concert festival. Almost its entire line-up is made up of live AV shows, performances in which the visuals carry as much weight as the music, and the site adds installations, projections and performances. General opening hours are 17:30 to 5:30 on both days.

Friday 6: Arca, Shygirl and Tortoise

Friday brings together the names most likely to draw an audience from beyond the electronic circuit. Arca, the Venezuelan producer who has worked with Björk and Kanye West, presents an audiovisual live show; Shygirl arrives with a live show alongside the visual studio Onionlab, and Tortoise, the Chicago band that has spent more than three decades blending post-rock, jazz and electronica, provides the night's instrumental counterpoint.

  • For the dancefloor: the DJ set by Helena Hauff, the Hamburg DJ who moves between electro and techno, and DATAPUNK, the hybrid project presented by Anthony Rother with visuals by VPM.
  • For listening: Fennesz & Lillevan perform Endless Summer, the Austrian's 2001 album, and Ryoichi Kurokawa brings one of his audiovisual pieces on sound, image and time.
  • The rest of the day: ML Buch, Kavari, EAR, Tutu with VJ Roc, Del Gesu, Corpres, Grand River, weed420 and the performance by Óldo Erréve.

Arca has played in Barcelona before: in July 2019 she performed at Sónar. At Mira, her live show is the most recognisable name of this edition.

Saturday 7: Max Cooper, Machine Girl and the audiovisual premieres

Saturday is more true to the essence of the festival. Max Cooper, the Northern Irish producer known for combining electronic music, science and generative visuals, is the central name on a day when almost everything is seen as much as it is heard. Machine Girl, the American breakcore and digital punk duo, provide the loudest moment.

  • Premieres: Nosaj Thing and Daito Manabe present their joint show for the first time on the peninsula, as does Debit with Potpourri, with visuals by Ian Margo and Alexandre Montserrat. R-010 and Matteo Caro premiere Makrophonie with stage design by PROXIMA.
  • Audiovisual live shows: Nicola Cruz, Space Afrika, underscores, Amore and Martin Rev, one half of Suicide, with Divine Enfant on visuals.
  • To close the night: DJ sets by dj g2g and DJ Zero, plus performances by AEDOSSYNTH, Inspiria and Óldo Erréve and visuals by Ferran Belmon.

Set times by artist have not yet been published. The festival said they would arrive in October, so anyone wanting to see Max Cooper or Arca at a specific time will have to wait a few days.

Tickets for Mira 2026: prices and conditions

Official sales are on the Mira Festival website, which redirects to DICE. These are the current prices, to which booking fees are added:

  • Two-day pass: €117, or €113 per pass with the two-ticket offer.
  • Friday or Saturday ticket: €63, or €60 per ticket with the two-ticket offer.

The price has risen since the summer: at the end of July, the pass was listed at €95 and the day ticket at €50. With three weeks to go, the festival does not say whether there are further price tiers.

Some conditions are worth bearing in mind before going. Under-18s get in free if accompanied by their mother, father or legal guardian, who must have a ticket and sign a liability form. There is no re-entry. Inside, payment is by card only, and there are lockers for €7 or €10 depending on size. The site is on Avinguda Maria Cristina, next to Espanya station on metro lines 1 and 3.

Mira Week: VJs, talks and Mouse on Mars at the Apolo

Before the weekend, the festival is holding three events at the Apolo venue, with separate admission:

  • Tuesday 3, 17:00 to 22:00: Mira x Syncra, a gathering of visual artists who go head to head on a split screen to the same music. Free with registration.
  • Wednesday 4, 10:30 to 20:00: Mira.exe, a day of talks for creative industry professionals, with speakers from Domestic Data Streamers, IAAC and Solar Lab. Free with registration.
  • Thursday 5, at 19:30: a Mouse on Mars concert to showcase a 360-degree immersive sound system (d&b Soundscape). €17 plus fees.

Those who follow this crossover between music and technology will find a similar format, on a different scale, at Modulartec in A Coruña. This edition will be updated on the MIRA Digital Arts Festival page, and the rest of the calendar is in festivals in Catalonia and in the electronic music festivals section.
