Zahara

Zahara is the stage name of María Zahara Gordillo Campos, a singer-songwriter born in Úbeda (Jaén) in 1983 who has been playing live venues since 1999. After self-releasing her early work, she put out her first professional album, ‘La fabulosa historia de...’, in 2009, and in 2011 she left Universal to return to managing her own career. Records such as ‘Santa’ (2015) and ‘Astronauta’ (2018) followed. ‘Puta’ (2021), on which she moved towards electronic music, won the MIN award for Album of the Year in 2022, and that period gave rise to Zahara Rave, the live show in which she reworks her songbook with techno and synthesisers.

Zahara appears in the line-ups of 5 festivals in ModoFestival's calendar. Next date: Palencia Sonora (Palencia), 11–12 Jun 2027.
