About the festival

La Mona Fest held its third edition in Jaén in April 2026 and, for now, has not announced the next one. There are no dates, line-up or tickets for 2027, and as of mid-October there is also no sign of a second Halloween edition like the one the festival organised in 2025.

What is clear is the format: a single day of reggaeton, trap and urban music at the IFEJA exhibition grounds, with doors opening in the afternoon and a line-up of Spanish reggaeton, trap and rap.

What we know about La Mona Fest 2027

Nothing official yet. The festival's website is still dedicated to the 2026 edition, with no announcement of dates or a presale. In 2025 and 2026 it chose a Saturday in April, but that is a recent habit, not a confirmed date for 2027.

The autumn is also up in the air. In 2025 the festival launched a special Halloween edition on 31 October, with Morad, Pepe y Vizio and J Abecía, an event separate from the spring one. Two and a half weeks before Halloween 2026, no repeat has been announced.

A one-day urban music festival in Jaén

La Mona Fest works as an afternoon-to-night marathon: doors opened at 17:00 in 2026 and the line-up strings together between six and ten artists in a single day, a format that makes it easy to travel there and back from other Andalusian cities without needing to stay overnight in Jaén.

The line-up combines the odd name with a long commercial track record with young trap, rap and reggaeton artists. In 2025 the headliners were Omar Montes and RVFV; in 2026, JC Reyes and Juan Magán, the latter with almost two decades of career in electro latino. That mix of a recognisable veteran with the streaming generation was repeated in both editions.

IFEJA, tickets and minimum age

The festival takes place in the Pabellón Semicubierto de IFEJA, Jaén's Recinto Provincial de Ferias y Congresos (provincial exhibition and conference centre), on the extension of the Carretera de Granada.

For reference, 2026 tickets started at €27 on the official website and could be paid for with the Bono Cultural Joven. At the 2025 Halloween edition, under-16s could only enter accompanied by their legal guardian, and 16- and 17-year-olds with a signed authorisation. Prices and rules relate to past editions and may change in 2027.

How La Mona Fest 2026 went

The third edition was held on Saturday 18 April 2026 at IFEJA, with JC Reyes, Juan Magán, Lia Kali, Lucho RK, Xiyo y Fernández and Kabasaki on the line-up.

The 2025 spring edition, held on 5 April, had brought together Omar Montes, RVFV, Foyone, Diegote, Vilu Gontero, Ballesteros, Pedro Calderón, Belén Jurado and Totote. Both line-ups illustrate the type of festival, but do not anticipate the 2027 programme.

There are more events in the genre in the urban music festival listings and in the reggaeton festival listings.
