Mayka Festival

Mayka Festival is a house and techno festival that made its debut at IFEMA Madrid in February 2025 with a night dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Cocoon label. That first edition remains the only one, and no edition has been announced for 2026 or 2027.

The last known edition: 2025

The event, billed as MAYKA presents Cocoon, took place on 14 February 2025 at the IFEMA exhibition centre. The night paid tribute to Cocoon, the label founded by Sven Väth in Frankfurt, and brought together Adam Beyer and Joris Voorn as headliners, with Avalon Emerson, Josh Wink and Palms Trax in the middle of the bill and emerging DJ Nahoomie.

The line-up covered three styles: Beyer's techno, Voorn's melodic house and techno, and a more eclectic club side with Emerson, Wink and Palms Trax. IFEMA put expected attendance at more than 6,500 people.

A concept with no phones on the dance floor

Mayka's most distinctive feature was its no phone policy: the organisers asked people not to use their phones on the dance floor and presented the event as a return to the spirit of 2000s raves, with its own design and engineering team handling the atmosphere. Its slogan, on the official website, emphasises this idea of an electronic music experience without distractions.

What is known about Mayka Festival today

The official website is still online, but it shows no dates, line-up or ticket sales, and the festival's page on the IFEMA site still refers to the 2025 edition. A second edition was never announced for 2026, and nothing has been announced for 2027 either.

Electronic music events with confirmed dates in the region can be found in our selection of festivals in the Community of Madrid.
