Blackworks Weekend Festival has dates for 2027: the Madrid-based brand's big hard techno weekend will take place on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 April 2027 in Madrid, once again under the name Dimension. The venue and line-up have not yet been announced, and sales begin with a presale reserved for those who registered on the website.

April 2027 in Madrid, with the venue to be confirmed

The official Blackworks website presents the edition as Blackworks Weekend Festival Dimension 2027 and places it on 2 and 3 April 2027 in Madrid, without naming the venue yet. The 2026 edition was held at the IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre, where the brand returned in September for its seventh anniversary, but that is not enough to assume it will return there: until the organisers announce it, the exact location is still pending.

Compared with 2026, the festival moves back a week in the calendar, from the last weekend of March to the first weekend of April, just after Easter Week, which in 2027 ends on Sunday 28 March. The format stays the same: two consecutive nights, Friday and Saturday.

How the 2027 presale works

The first sales phase is not open to everyone. Blackworks set up a pre-registration that closed on 11 October 2026 at 20:00. According to the festival's own page, those who signed up will receive a purchase link by SMS, email or WhatsApp on Monday 2 November 2026 at 13:00, giving access to a virtual queue on a first-come, first-served basis.

The organisers have not published prices for 2027 or said when general sale will begin. For reference, one-day tickets for the 2026 edition ranged from around €35 to €90 depending on the type and phase, according to Time Out Madrid. What line-up to expect

There are no names for 2027 yet. What is clear is the brand's direction: Blackworks presents itself as an independent techno movement, and its big Madrid event revolves around hard techno and the fastest sounds on the European circuit, with a crowd that travels in from other countries.

The 2026 line-up offers a clue to the kind of programming. It featured more than 40 artists across two stages and brought together names such as I Hate Models, Rebekah, Barbara Lago, 6EJOU, Karah, Notmytype and Lee Ann Roberts, alongside a hardcore heavyweight such as Angerfist. That mix of hard-hitting techno and hardcore tempos is the house signature, but the 2027 bill will depend on the announcements.

How Blackworks Weekend Festival 2026 went

The Dimension edition took place on 27 and 28 March 2026 at IFEMA Madrid, with night sessions from 22:00 to 06:00 each day. Time Out Madrid put the number of ravers expected at more than 30,000 in a two-night format that works less like a daytime festival and more like a large-scale rave in an exhibition hall.

Those hours shape the logistics. IFEMA has a metro station and is next to the airport, but leaving at six in the morning means planning your journey home, and in 2027 everything will depend on the venue that is announced.

Other Blackworks events before April

The brand runs its own calendar of events. Before the big Madrid weekend it has scheduled, among others, Blackworks Halloween The Purgatory on 30 and 31 October 2026 at La Nueva Cubierta, Blackworks Festival Bilbao on 28 November at the BEC's Bizkaia Arena and a New Year party on 1 January 2027, again at La Nueva Cubierta.
