About the festival

Negrita Music Festival is a brand of urban music festivals with events in several Spanish cities, and O Porriño was its Galician stop, with three editions held between 2023 and 2025. Every September, the A Louriña district hosted a line-up of rap, trap, reggaeton and mainstream pop that became one of the key urban music events in the Vigo area. In 2026 the event has not taken place and, as of mid-October, no edition has been announced for 2026 or 2027.

Three editions of urban music in O Porriño

The first edition, in September 2023, already backed big-draw names: Rels B, La Zowi, Cruz Cafuné, Bresh, Cali y El Dandee, J Abecia and Melendi, plus several DJ sets. The mix of urban music and radio pop, with a veteran like Melendi alongside the trap generation, defined the festival's profile.

In 2024 the line-up leaned more towards rap and trap with JC Reyes, Maka, Paul Thin, Recycled J and Hard GZ, while keeping a nod to pop rock with Pignoise.

The last known edition: 2025

The third edition in O Porriño was set for Saturday 6 September 2025. Among the names announced were Hard GZ, returning after his appearance in 2024, and Yung Beef, who arrived with what Metropolitano described as his only performance in Galicia that year. Both came from the rap and trap scene, in line with the direction the festival had taken in 2024.

What is known about 2026 and 2027

The festival has not published dates, a line-up or ticket sales for a fourth edition in O Porriño. September, the month in which it was usually held, passed without any event being announced. At the end of August 2026, the newspaper Metropolitano was already treating this year's event as cancelled, as no artists had been announced, although it noted that there was no official confirmation that the promoter had decided not to hold it.

One detail is worth bearing in mind if you check Negrita's official website: it still shows O Porriño with the date 6 September, with no year. This refers to the 2025 edition, not a future event.

The brand has, however, remained active in other cities. In 2026 it held Negrita Music Festival Santander on the Virgen del Mar beach, with Juan Magán and Ana Mena among the artists across its two nights. For other events in the north-west, the listings of festivals in Galicia bring together those that do have an edition under way.
